Dear friends,

the DW-Radio (Deutsche Welle) did an Interview with Prof. Dr. Schmidt-Kallert and a current SPRING student about the history of SPRING and experiences with the Programme. The Radio-interview was broadcasted as a LiveStream on August 28 2010, and is now available as a Podcast-download (The Main topic “SPRING” starts at 9min50sec). Also a printed Version of the interview is online on the DW-webpage.

Though everything is translated into German (article & interview), we hope that most of you can understand & enjoy it.

Greetings from SPRING Dortmund

Dr. Anne Weber

Dear All,
we look back on a very eventful year 2009. SPRING has celebrated its 25th anniversary and welcomed over 100 participants from 18 different countries to join the ceremony.

On this occasion we would also give special thanks to you, particularly for the alumni poster. Such an imposing event would not have taken place without your annual assistance in promoting the SPRING Programme. Your recommendations led to a remarkable increase of applications last year.

This year we solicit you again for assistance in giving high qualified candidates from your home countries the opportunity to gain an outstanding education which opens up leading positions in the field of development.

Please find enclosed our poster/ flyer 2010, describing the SPRING Programme in detail. We kindly ask you to distribute the flyer to qualified persons and to publish it in your institution.

If you need more information or if you have any kind of question, please feel free to contact us - by letter, telephone, e-mail or fax. We will gladly answer your requests.

Thank you very much in advance for your efforts and support.

Kind regards from SPRING Dortmund,

Anne Weber
