New Research project „Inter-religious Activities and urban governance in the Ruhr-Area“
Since January 2012, Eva Dick, together with Prof. Alexander Nagel of the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) of Ruhr University Bochum, directs the research project „Inter-religious activities and urban governance in the Ruhr-Area“. The project has a duration of 18 months and is funded by the Mercator Research Center Ruhr (MERCUR) with support from the Brost –Verfügungsfond of the WAZ Media Group. Using the cities of Hamm and Duisburg as case studies, the project analyses the relations between members of different religious communities in urban areas and the role of city stakeholders in inter-religious activities. The project is planned as a pilot project to a subsequent, cross-national EU-application.
